Our Recruitment Process

When you apply for a job with us, it can be comforting for both you and us if you are prepared. In our advertisements, we outline how the process works and provide a preliminary schedule so that you, as an applicant, have an idea of how long the recruitment is expected to take.

Inclusive Recruitment

We want to reflect our customers and society and contribute to increased inclusion in the community. It is a way to work against discrimination, but above all, it is part of our work to develop our organisation and create a better working environment. Therefore, we have developed a process for a more inclusive recruitment.

  • Selection questions in the application process. Candidates answer selection questions related to the role during the application process. This guarantees equal treatment, making it easier to evaluate and compare the gathered information
  • Anonymize personal information in the initial stage. In the initial selection, we do not see names, ages, or genders of the candidates. Instead, we focus on the selection questions linked to the competency profile
  • Link language requirements to job tasks. Clearly express language requirements linked to job tasks to reduce the risk of discouraging candidates who may have a different native language
  • Digitize reference checking. A structured and standardised reference check reduces the risk of subjectivity and enhances the reliability and validity of the reference check

Tips for Your Interview!

To reduce potential nervousness and increase the chance of a more relaxed interview, here are some tips.

  • Familiarise yourself with FM Mattsson AB on our website to better understand our business, culture, and values
  • Prepare by reviewing the job advertisement – what experience are we looking for and how well do you match it? How can this be linked to your past work situations and what did you contribute in those situations
  • Think about questions you have about the job, the team, or us as employers

During the Interview:

  • Relax and be yourself – we want to get to know you for real!
  • Consider why we should hire you specifically and answer questions using actual examples from your previous experiences. This provides a better understanding of your skills, background, and goals
  • Don’t be afraid to talk about areas for development – we all have things to work on, and it can determine if this role is right for you. It also gives us as employers tools for how we can support you in your future role

Tips for a Digital Interview

Sometimes technology glitches and it happens to us all. We encourage you to test the technology before a digital interview to maximise our time getting to know each other.

  • If you have a scheduled digital interview, check your internet connection and battery life, and ensure that the camera, speakers, and microphone are functioning. Do this well before the interview starts
  • If you plan to use a tablet or mobile phone for your interview, you might need time to download an app
  • Find a good place to conduct your interview. Sit in a well-lit and quiet environment, as free as possible from distracting elements, and where you are visible in the camera. Set other devices to silent mode but have your phone nearby in case of technical issues
